Objectives:  

Bridging disciplines and building networks to future-proof multi-hazard early warning systems (MHEWS) - young professional’s perspective

The session will showcase good practices and success stories of young professional’s contribution to designing and implementing people-centred early warning systems (EWS), as well as their views on future steps and challenges towards:

Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) Initiative – Country Practices, People-Centred Early Warning

• Wrap up of the Conference sessions, addressing progress, evaluating the current situation through (regional) assessments of effectiveness and investments, and summarizing challenges;
• Highlight of good practices; and
• Formulation of input into the GP2019 working session on multi-hazard early warning systems (MHEWS) and the High-level dialogues.
